Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to a local residence at approximately 7:10 p.m. on April 15, where there was a report of a larceny from the home, when the 18-year-old suspect from Cortlandt Manor - whose name is not being released due to her potential status as a juvenile - allegedly stole a credit card.

The subsequent investigation determined that the suspect allegedly used the stolen credit card at Ulta Beauty and H&M in the Jefferson Valley Mall, which led them to her.

Shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, the suspect turned herself into custody at police headquarters, where she was arrested and charged with a felony count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Following arraignment, she was released on her own recognizance. The suspect is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 12 to answer the charge.
