WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A group of girls were reportedly brought into police custody over the weekend after allegedly attacking a woman at the Valhalla Metro-North station.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday night, three teenagers pushed a 68-year-old Valhalla woman to the ground and robbed her of money and a cell phone while she was on the platform at the train station, according to police.
Mount Pleasant Police officers were subsequently alerted by staff at the Valhalla Crossing Restaurant, and officers quickly located the three suspects on a Metro-North train that had been held at the station, the report says. The three girls are reportedly runaways from the Hawthorne Cedar Knolls RTC and were turned into the custody of Metro-North police.
The investigation is ongoing and the situation is developing.
