Three Sex Offenders Move Into Valhalla Shelter

VALHALLA, N.Y. – Three registered sex offenders moved in to Mount Pleasant this week, increasing the total to 37 offenders that now live within the town, according to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.  So far this year, 17 offenders have been registered as living in Mount Pleasant. 

All three offenders are living at 25 Grasslands Road in Valhalla, the location of the Grasslands Homeless Shelter, and are under the supervision of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.

The following information is provided to the Mount Pleasant Police by Westchester County:

Patrick Slater, 40, was convicted in 1996 of second degree sodomy, a felony, and was sentenced to 60 months to 15 years in state prison.  His victim was an 11-year-old male who was not a stranger to Slater.  He is not known to be a violent offender and is also known to go by the name Brody Williams.  Slater has multiple tattoos on his back, right arm and both legs.

Michael Lattimore, 34, was convicted in 2004 of second degree rape, a felony, and was sentenced to two to four years in state prison.  His victim was a 14-year-old female who was not a stranger to Lattimore.  Lattimore is known as a violent offender and also goes by the name Michael Latimore or Michael Lattimor. He has multiple tattoos on his biceps, forearms and back.

Kevin Nowell, 48, was convicted in 2006 of first degree rape, a felony, and was sentenced to eight years in state prison.  His victim’s age and gender is unknown.  Nowell is considered a violent offender.  Nowell also goes by the name Kevin Novell and has a gold tooth.
