The victim, Oscar Fernandez, who is an employee of the pizzeria, said he placed his wallet on a table and mistakenly left it there when the establishment got busy. When he returned the wallet was missing, police said.

Surveillance footage reportedly showed a Hispanic woman between 25 and 30 years old, standing 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds with a small child standing near the wallet. The child took the wallet and handed it to the suspect, who looked inside, then handed the wallet back to the child and had her put it in her pocket, police said.

The female suspect then paid for her food and left the scene, police said.
