Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to the Kmart parking lot on Downing Drive, where there was a report of two people arguing in a vehicle.

Upon arrival, police said that officers launched an investigation that determined that Fishkill resident Serena Walsh, 33, allegedly violated a Temporary Order of Protection that had been issued by the Town of Southeast Court by being in the presence of the protected party.

Walsh was arrested at the scene and charged with a misdemeanor count of second-degree criminal contempt at Yorktown Police Headquarters. Following arraignment, Walsh was remanded into custody in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or bond. She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 12 to answer the charge.
