MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – A Yonkers man stands accused of driving while under the influence of drugs over the weekend on the Taconic State Parkway.
State police in Hawthorne say the 20-year-old has been charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Police said they pulled the man over on the southbound lane of the parkway, where a search of his vehicle produced marijuana. Police say the man provided a blood sample at police headquarters and was found to be driving under the influence of drugs.
The man is due in Mount Pleasant Town Court on May 9.
