Northern Westchester Voters Head To The Polls For Election Day

County and municipal races will be on the ballot on Election Day Tuesday when voters head to the polls.

County races:

In District 1, which covers Peekskill, Yorktown and Cortlandt, Legislator John Testa, a Republican, faces challenger Nancy Vann, a Democrat. Testa is running for a fifth term.

in District 2, which covers, Bedford, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, North Salem, Pound Ridge, Somers, Legislator Francis Corcoran, a Republican is running against Kitley Covill, a Democrat. Corcoran is running for a second term.

In District 3, which covers Mount Pleasant, Pleasantville and North Castle, Legislator Margaret Cunzio, a Conservative, is running against Daren Tolz, a Democrat. Cunzio is running for a second term.

In District 9, which covers Briarcliff Manor, Cortlandt, Croton-on-Hudson, Ossining, Peekskill, Legislator Catherine Borgia, a Democrat, is running against Bob Outhouse, a Republican. Borgia is running a fourth term.

Municipal races:

In Bedford, Democrats MaryAnn Carr, an incumbent and Kate Galligan face Republicans Kyle Carleton and Mary Ellen Devey McLaughlin. Supervisor Chris Burdick is running unopposed.

In Cortlandt, longtime Supervisor Linda Puglisi, a Democrat, faces Republican challenger, Liam Carroll. Puglisi is running for a 14th term. Democrats Debra Carter-Costello, an incumbent and James Creighton are running for town council against Glen Hockley and Mark Goodenow.

In Croton-on-Hudson, Mayor Gregory Schmidt, a member of Croton United, is being challenged by Democrat Brian Pugh. Croton United members Robert Anderson, an incumbent and Roseanne Schuyler, are running for village trustee against Amy Attias and Sherry Horowitz.

In Lewisboro, incumbent Democrat Peter Parsons is running for supervisor against Republican Jacob Krellenstein. Parsons is running for a fourth term. Incumbent Republicans Frank Kelly and Peter DeLucia are running for town council against Democrats Jane Crimmins and Tony Goncalves.

In Mount Kisco, Mayor Michael Cindrich, a Democrat, is running for an eighth term against Gina Picinich of 4MountKisco. Incumbent Democrats Anthony Markus and Peter Grunthal are running for village trustee against Isi Albanese of 4 Mount Kisco. Mount Kisco voters will also vote on whether to bond $10.25 million for firehouse renovations.

In New Castle, incumbent Rob Greenstein is running for a third term as supervisor against Democrat Kristen Browde. Greenstein is running on the Republican ticket, though he is a registered Democrat. If elected, Browde would be the first transgender supervisor in New York. Incumbent Republicans Adam Brodsky and Lia Katz are running for town board against Democrats Gail Markels and Ivy Pool.

In Peekskill, Republican Frank Catalina is running for a third term as mayor against Democrat Andre Rainey. The Republican slate for Common Council features incumbent Joe Torres, Luis Segarra and Robert Sullivan, while the Democrats are countering with Colin Smith, Ramon Fernandez and Vanesa Aguedelo.

In Pound Ridge, Republican Dick Lyman is running for a third term as supervisor against Democrat Kevin Hansen. Democrat incumbent Daniel Paschkes and Diane Briggs are running for town council against Republican incumbent Bonnie Schwartz and Peter Marchetti. 

In Somers, Republican incumbents Anthony Cirieco and William Faulkner are running for town council against Democrats Robert Ondrovic and Thomas Newman. Supervisor Rick Morrissey is running unopposed.

In Yorktown, Republican incumbent Michael Grace is running for a fourth term as supervisor against Democrat Ilan Gilbert. Republican incumbent Gregory Bernard and Rob Puff are running for town council against incumbent Vishnu Patel and Alice Roker.
