"During my short tenure representing the Mount Pleasant Community, Supervisor Fulgenzi has been an incredible advocate and partner for his town," said Murphy, a Republican. "Always a gentleman, Supervisor Fulgenzi possesses the vision and passion to propel Mt. Pleasant to a successful next chapter. I am proud to have partnered with him on a number of initiatives, including train safety, Thornwood's downtown revitalization and most recently, honoring our local veterans at our first annual Veterans' Pancake Breakfast which took place at the Mount Pleasant Community Center."

The senator also added: "In addition to Supervisor Fulgenzi, the residents of Mount Pleasant have a tax fighting bulldog in Councilman Nick DiPaolo. Councilman DiPaolo fights everyday on behalf of the taxpayer because he knows of the importance of affordability. When I'm in Albany I fight to give everyone an opportunity to succeed and having Councilman DiPaolo in the trenches with me back home is an enormous asset."

"The final pieces needed to move Mount Pleasant forward include Councilman Mark Rubeo, Judge Robert Ponzini, Town Clerk Pat Scova and Highway Superintendent Peter Scilliano. This team has consistently impressed me with their ideas and management of the town. They have more than earned the trust of residents of Mount Pleasant and deserve their vote on Nov. 3," Murphy said.
