Valhalla Passes School Budget, Re-Elects Clark, Garbus

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- LaVerne Clark and Joseph Garbus were re-elected to the Valhalla Board of Education on Tuesday.

Valhalla voters also passed proposed $45.5 million budget that maintains the current program while staying under the tax cap. The budget would raise the tax rate by an estimated 4.26 percent for Greenburgh residents, 2.73 percent for Mount Pleasant residents and 5.84 percent for North Castle residents.

The budget received 415 'yes' votes and 227 'no' votes.

Clark and Garbus will serve three-year terms.
