Astorino revealed his future political plans on WGDJ Radio in Albany. Astorino was first elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2013.

The county executive did not rule out another run for governor against Andrew Cuomo in 2018. Astorino ran against Cuomo last year, losing by 13 points, despite being outspent by $40 million.

Cuomo has said he intends to run for a third term.

According to LoHud, Astorino has $557,007 in his campaign war chest, raising $590,152 this year.
