WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. The inaugural White Plains Community Camp-Out will be held Sept. 15 to Sept. 16 at Delfino Park, the city announced on its website.
What could be better than a family camp out? asked Bass, commissioner of the citys Department of Recreation and Parks. Whether you are a novice or experienced camper, this is an opportunity to spend time with your family, under the stars, in the safe confines of Delfino Park.
The $40 event is open to all White Plains families and Scout Troops and includes campsite maximum of six people nature workshops, hiking, games, inline skating, a magic show, an outdoor movie, campfire, ghost stories told under the stars.
Families must register by Sept. 8 at the Recreation and Parks office on 85 Gedney Way. For more information, call 914-422-1339.
