Late last year, Yonkers officials were joined by members of the Ginsberg Development Companies (GDC) for a “topping off” ceremony, which marked the completion of the final floor and roof of the north tower of the complex, complete with the raising of a massive American flag that will fly alongside the building.
On Wednesday, Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano was joined by city, state and county officials to celebrate the grand opening of the 330-unit, $100 million luxury rental building.
“River Tides is the new definition of luxury living in Yonkers,” Spano said. “Developments like this are popping up on our waterfront -- providing the convenience of public transportation, along with the tranquility and beauty of living along the Hudson River. Thank you to Ginsburg Development Companies for their commitment and vision to help make Yonkers a better place to live, work and play.”
River Tides at Greystone includes a mix of 330 studio, one, two and three-bedroom units with views of the Hudson River and the Palisades. According to developers, they include stainless steel appliances, Euro-style cabinetry, stone countertops, bay windows and terraces.
The monthly rents will range from $1,495 for a studio to nearly $5,000 for a corner penthouse.
“The opening of the River Tides at Greystone is great news as Westchester continues to develop as an accessible place to live,” Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino said in a statement. “Located just a 32-minute train ride to Manhattan, the River Tides at Greystone makes Westchester even more attractive as a place where residents can live, work and play.”
