Byram Hills Ptsa Hosts 'Breaking Down Digital Walls'

ARMONK, N.Y. -- Using his own unique brand of humor, Internet safety and anti-bullying specialist Josh Gunderson will visit H.C. Crittenden Middle School to explain popular sites, apps and games so parents can better understand what kids are doing online and how they can encourage safe and responsible behavior.

The event will be on Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. H.C. Crittenden Middle School is at 10 MacDonald Ave., in Armonk.

Parents should leave with a better sense of how kids are utilizing popular sites and with the tools needed to promote a positive digital experience.

Gunderson has traveled across North America speaking to parents, students and educators at more than 150 venues including MTV, Princeton High School, University of Nebraska and Penn State.

He uses stories about A-list celebrities and true-life tragedies in his presentation. His personal mission statement is to "educate through entertainment."

He is frequently contacted for his expertise by journalists who write about Internet safety. Gunderson graduated from Salem State University in Massachusetts earning degrees in English and theater.
