The Byram Hills students performed cheers, card tricks and also put on skits.

Bristal resident Leon Yablon also put on a show with dice and coins. Pulling these out of his pocket, he was soon pulling quarters out of the young visitors’ ears.

The recent visit marks the second time the Wampus service club has visited Bristal residents. VIP Jr. has about 50 fifth-grade members.

“I really like meeting with the grandfriends,” said student Ella Pilchik, using the term coined by the club’s faculty advisors, Antoinette Addonizio, Janet Thompson, and Natalie Reilly, in a press release.

“It’s very nice for them to be so patient with us and welcome us here,” said student Gaby Colabello in a press release.

Bristal residents interviewed said they enjoyed having fun with the students.

“They’re very refreshing, and they’re so anxious to please,” said resident Annette Cavallaro in a press release.

The VIP Jr. members have invited Bristal residents to visit their upcoming school talent show as their special guests.

“The kids are so outgoing, and they bring a lot of energy,” said resident Phyllis Gitomer in a press release.
