Byram Hills Talk Will Explore Kids' Stress From Tests

ARMONK, N.Y. -- The Byram Hills PTSA announced that it will hold a talk covering how taking tests can cause stress for students.

The talk is scheduled for Monday, March at 10 a.m. and will be held in the District Office's board room.

Several top Byram Hills School District officials will be speaking as panelists, including Superintendent William Donohue, school board President Brett Summers, H.C. Crittenden Middle School Principal H. Evan Powderly and Wampus School Principal Debra Cagliostro. 

The talk is being held as students in grades 3-8 are close to taking their state-mandated Math and ELA exams. Panelists will discuss the pros and the cons of opting out of the tests, how teachers are offering support to their students and about new rules for the tests.
