Mount Pleasant Area Students Earn School Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Students from Mount Pleasant have earned several awards and honors while at school and college:

  • Hawthorne resident Jake Antonaccio and Pleasantville residents Mariam Zakher and Meena Zakher were named to the dean's list at Siena College.
  • Pleasantville resident Ilan M. Benattar received the Andrew Bergman '65 Award in Creative Writing at Binghamton University.
  • Pleasantville resident Kyle Bull and Thornwood resident Christina Micela were named to the dean's list at Roger Williams University.
  • Fairfield University named the following residents to the dean's list: Thornwood residents Kristin Ryan and Kristen Mackin; Valhalla residents Camille Dottore and Rebecca Fallon; and Pleasantville residents Kevin Reda, Julie Carpenito, Clara De Frutos, Michael Baris, Joseph Petti and Christine Villa.
  • Valhalla resident Kara Kavanagh was named to the dean's list at Hartwick College before graduating with a degree in anthropology.
  • Valhalla resident Demetrios  Xenikakis graduated from the University of New Haven with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Pleasantville resident Kathleen Bathon graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor's degree in biological services.
  • Pleasantville resident Robert Nolletti was named to the dean's list at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
  • Valhalla residents Christina Davidson and Erin Kenny were named to the dean's list at the University of Hartford.
  • Pleasantville resident Gillian Orwoll was named to the dean's list at SUNY Potsdam.
