The children participated in half-and-one-mile runs around the Westlake High School track and the 5K course took runners and walkers around the surrounding neighborhood.
The event raised money to purchase educational items and programs requested by teachers for use by students in the district, but not included in the school district budget.
This year’s lead sponsors included ShopRite supermarkets, Will2Lose fitness centers and Westchester Medical Center.
