Spearheaded by Westlake High School guidance leader Nick DiPaolo and fourth grade teacher Jessica Kelly, the drive was held in all four of the district’s schools for a few weeks in late January and early February. Donation boxes were set up in each school lobby where students and staff could drop off their food items.

Westlake Middle School led the way donating more than 1,200 pounds of food. DiPaolo was floored by the overwhelming response to this year’s drive, which he said was nearly double last year’s donations.

“This is truly a testament to everyone's care and concern for those in our communities,” DiPaolo said.
