Candidates had until Monday to submit nominating petitions to run for a seat on a Board of Education in Mount Pleasant, Pleasantville and Pocantico Hills. Elections will take place May 21.

Two candidates will run for two seats in Mount Pleasant. Valhalla resident and incumbent Christopher Pinchiaroli will seek re-election. Former Mount Pleasant school board member Theresa Fowler is also running for a seat on the Board of Education. Fowler was ousted by voters last year.

One candidate is running in Pleasantville: Current School Board Vice President Shane McGaffey.

In Pocantico Hills, two incumbents will seek re-election: Fred Rickles and Emily Segal.

The last day to register to vote in school elections is May 16. Residents can register with their school's district clerk.

The Mount Pleasant Central School District will hold a special voter registration May 15 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Westlake High School.
