MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Mount Pleasant Board of Education is hosting a screening of the documentary "Most Likely to Succeed" on Wednesday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m. at Westlake Library.
As the district plans for the next five years and beyond, it is considering research and study done in the field of education that points to clear markers of success in the twenty first century. An important wave in educational advancement led by Harvard Innovation Lab expert-in-residence Tony Wagner, says that in this burgeoning innovation era, what a student knows is not as important as what he will be able to do with what what he knows.
Wagner's book "Most Likely to Succeed," coauthored with former venture capitalist and entrepreneur Ted Dintersmith, was made into a documentary and screened at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival to wide acclaim.
