Mount Pleasant Schools Closed Monday Due to Storm

THORNWOOD, N.Y. - All Mount Pleasant Central School District schools will be closed Monday due to Hurricane Sandy. 

It has not been determined yet if the schools will close on Tuesday as well.  

The Town of Mount Pleasant has set up a shelter for all residents at Town Hall in Valhalla.  The town has advised all residents to stay indoors and avoid downed power lines at all costs.

To report any electrical problems, residents are asked to contact Con Edison at 1-800-752-6633. To report any downed trees or electrical wire, residents should call the Mount Pleasant Police desk at 914-769-1941. Residents should only call 911 in the event of an emergency.
