We hope you have been following the updates and news regarding the facilities bond referendum that the community will vote on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Westlake High School Gym. A bond information newsletter will be in your mailbox early next week. Please take the time to read it over and become familiar with the projects, the reasoning for this bond and the importance it will play in maintaining our buildings and programs into the next 50 years when our children will be the planners, decision makers and global shapers. The future for our children begins here in the Mount Pleasant schools. A few important dates are ahead for your calendar. By popular demand, we are adding dates to tour Westlake campus. We will hold the first tour this Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. and the second on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. Both tours will meet in the Westlake High School lobby.  We are aware that some parents may wish to take the tour on Tuesday morning when there is no school, but may have childcare concerns. If you fall into this category, please call Marie D'Ambroso at 773-7892 and let us know. We will provide child care at the school during the tour, which takes just about an hour.  Also, Monday, Nov. 10 is the last day to register to vote. Registration forms may be picked up at the District Clerk's office at 825 Westlake Drive during school hours. If you are unsure if you are eligible to vote, please call the District Clerk at 773-7884.
