Mount Pleasant Schools Talk Modernization With Residents

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. - Mount Pleasant Central Schools will hold a Facilities Forum on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Westlake High School Library to address the modernization of the district's infrastructure and buildings.

Russell Davidson, a principal of KG&D Architects in Mount Kisco, will present the firm's overview of the district's facilities survey and the future of school buildings.

Following the presentation, Mount Pleasant Schools Superintendent Susan Guiney will engage the community in preliminary discussions and a question-and-answer period. All school district residents are invited to attend.

As part of the planning process, the district will form a Facilities Steering Committee comprised of teachers, administrators, parents, students and school board and community members that will meet monthly throughout the year. Community members interested in serving on this committee are asked to attend the Oct. 30 meeting.
