Mount Pleasant Students Earn School Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Students from Mount Pleasant have earned several awards while at school and college:

  • Thornwood resident Diana Fletcher presented research titled "Subjective Well-Being of Adolescents: Single- Versus Two-Person Households" at Union College's annual Steinmetz Symposium.
  • Valhalla resident Amanda McGuinn graduated from Binghamton University with a bachelor's degree in English literature and rhetoric.
  • Pleasantville resident Natalia Chapovalova graduated from Binghamton University with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
  • Pleasantville High School sophomore Kelly Martin's poem "Safe" was selected for publication by Creative Communications.
  • Hawthorne resident John Kardian will graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor's degree in history.
  • Thornwood resident Melissa Douville will graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor's degree in anthropology.
  • Pleasantville resident Jennifer Grom was inducted into the Golden Key Honor Society at SUNY Geneseo.
  • Pleasantville resident Elena Gorell was named to the dean's list at Champlain College.
