MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Students from Mount Pleasant have earned several awards and honors while at school and college:
- Pleasantville resident Chris D. Samuel was named to the dean's list at Western New England University.
- Pleasantville resident Joseph D'Apice, Valhalla resident Jennifer Hertzberg, Valhalla resident Nicole Piccininni, Valhalla resident Melissa Sanchirico and Thornwood resident Lisa Ulley were named to the dean's list at Quinnipiac University.
- Valhalla resident Jenna Frances graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders.
- Pleasantville resident Emily Franquin graduated from Tufts University with a doctorate in veterinary medicine.
- Pleasantville resident Emily Rose Band was named to the dean's list at James Madison University.
- Valhalla resident and Westlake High School student Christian Falco received the Transplant Support Organization's 2013 Memorial Scholarship.
