Players went either completely bald or styled their hair into mohawks, to raise money for St. Baldrick's Society, in memory of Coach Tony Becerra's brother, Pete. Through pledges and direct donations, they raised over $10,000 -- more than double their goal for the project.
Every year since Becerra became head coach, the team, along with parents and coaches, chooses a community service project or fundraiser that builds both team spirit and civic awareness.
Past projects included a post-Hurricane Sandy fundraiser and clean-up effort, and fall leaf and lawn services for Pleasantville seniors.
