Pleasantville School District Clerk Irene Powers Retiring

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Pleasantville Board of Education has accepted the resignation of Irene Powers, who retires as district clerk and secretary to the superintendent, effective June 30.

In other action at the board's meeting on May 19:

  • The board granted tenure to speech therapists Rita Curtin (middle school) and Corin Hendricks (Bedford Road School) and to teaching assistant Lori Hirschman.
  • The board approved a negotiated agreement between the district and the Pleasantville School Aides Association.
