PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pleasantville Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) is looking to raise $7,000 to benefit the “Wish Lists” of the district’s special education staff.
A list of the items requested by the special education staff were not budgeted for and are intended to enhance students’ education, according to the SEPTA website.
SEPTA's goal is to raise $7,000. So far, as of Monday morning, $525 had been raised.
"Your contributions will allow teachers, related services professionals and staff to give students the opportunity to experience the latest technology, software, games, equipment, books, sensory items, furniture, and other items that will enhance the educational experience for the students in Pleasantville," the donation page said.
Pleasantville SEPTA is a district-wide organization that’s goal is to provide information and support to parents and caregivers of children with special needs, the group’s website said.
