Pleasantville Strong Receives $125K Drug-Free Coalition Grant

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pleasantville Strong was awarded a federal drug-free coalition grant of $125,000 per year for five years that will be used to pay for drug prevention activities for Pleasantville youth.

Pleasantville Strong (Safe Teens, Real Opportunities, New Goals) is a coalition whose vision is to create a safe, healthy, drug- and alcohol-free community.

The organization was founded by Pleasantville resident John Mueller as an outcome of Pleasantville Schools 2026, the District's five-year strategic plan.

It is a joint undertaking of the Pleasantville School District, the Pleasantville Village Board and the community.
