The science fair is geared for sophomores, and participation from area students has doubled the past three years, said fair organizers Lawrence McIntyre and Raymond Szczerba in a press release.
“We’re talking sophomores in high school,” McIntyre said. “It’s great to see so many students interested.”
Members of the public can view the exhibits from 4-5 p.m. Students will explain their projects to interested people, while 275 volunteers will tally the scores they awarded to students during the judging phase of the fair earlier that day.
The awards ceremony will begin around 5 or 5:30 p.m.
Westlake High School is at 825 West Lake Drive, Thornwood.
