VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Students throughout the Valhalla Union Free School District walked into the nurses' offices to wish them a happy National School Nurse Day, May 11.

"This is a time to honor the nurses who make a difference in the lives of children every day," said Valhalla Athletic Director Jamie Block. "School nurses play a significant role in improving students’ health and academic outcomes. They lead the way by ensuring a healthier and more sustainable future for our nation’s children."

The district's nurses are Virginia Diamond (Valhalla Middle/High School), Theresa Branciforti (Kensico School), Carolina Flores (Virginia Road School) and Rea Davidson (District Float Nurse).
