The 23 student-athletes who played on the 2014 soccer team were recognized not only for their skills on the field but also for their hard work in the classroom.
Valhalla was one of 390 soccer teams nationwide (146 boys teams and 244 girls teams) that was awarded the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s High School Team Academic Award. To be recognized, the entire team was required to have a team grade point average of 3.25 or higher for the 2014-15 school year.
The Valhalla Vikings finished the year with a 3.32 GPA. Each team’s GPA was calculated by adding every player’s GPA together and then dividing the total by the number of players on the team.
