Valhalla's $3.6 Million School Bond Vote Set for Thursday

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Valhalla school district residents will vote Thursday on the proposed $3.6 million bond for capital improvements.

The Valhalla school board's proposal includes plans to repair and renovate roofs and ceilings and the installation of a new all-weather turf on the high school's all-sports athletic field as well as the installation of air conditioning in the Kensico School gymnasium.

The estimated tax increase for a homeowner of a property with a market value $500,000 would be $75 a year.

Voting will take place at North Castle Community Center, Virginia Road Elementary and Kensico School from 6-8 a.m. and 2-9 p.m.
