Westlake Players Perform 'A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum'

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – The Westlake Players will be on stage April 17-19 and April 24-April 25 in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" at Westlake High School, 825 Westlake Drive, Thornwood.

Pseudolus is a crafty Roman slave who wants to be free. His master, Hero, wants the beautiful girl from the house of courtesans next door. She has already been sold to a handsome Roman army captain. Can Pseudolus get the girl, trick the Captain, please his master, avoid getting executed and still wind up a free man? Score by Stephen Sondheim and directed by Phil Cutrone.

Showtimes are April 17, 18, 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. and April 19 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors and $12 for adults. Senior citizens who purchase a ticket for the Sunday, April 19 matinee will be treated to a complimentary lunch at noon in the high school cafeteria.
