MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Westlake High School will hold multiple spirit events this weekend to represent Wildcats pride and athletics as a part of homecoming week. These events are great ways to support current and former Westlake students.
A week of spirit days for students will conclude with a pep rally and bonfire held at the high school Friday evening. After heading to school in their class colors, each class will present a float constructed by students. As part of the pep rally, a group of students from each class constructed a float with the theme of beating the homecoming football game opponent, Croton Harmon. The pep rally and bonfire will begin at 6:30 p.m.
There are multiple sporting events this weekend at Westlake as a part of homecoming. Boys and girls soccer, volleyball, and football will all play at home. On Friday, boys varsity soccer will face off against Ossining on the main field at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, girls soccer will play a 10 a.m. game against Lincoln Hall and volleyball will play a match against Irvington in the high school gym at a time yet to be determined.
The weekend will be concluded by the varsity football against Croton Harmon. The Wildcats are currently 2-4 on the year and are coming off a 40-29 victory over Putnam Valley. The kickoff Saturday is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
