Ossining Baseball's Three Big Innings Sink Westlake

OSSINING, N.Y. – The Ossining baseball team clubbed Westlake, 9-1, on Monday at Anne M. Dormer Middle School behind Zack Giusti’s three RBI. The Pride did all of its scoring in three innings.

Giusti went 2-for-2 at the plate for the Pride while teammate Mike Haag was 2-for-3 with two RBI of his own. Haag was also strong on the mound as he pitched six innings of one run ball and gave up two hits while striking out nine.

Westlake scored its lone run in the top of the first inning on an RBI by Anthony Botunno. But Ossining took over from there with two runs in the first, three in the third and four in the fourth. Six different batters drove in a run for Ossining.
