MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – The Pace University football team opened its summer practice session Monday at Pleasantville High School and will wrap up the two-week camp with its annual DJ Henry Youth Football Clinic Aug. 26.

Pace football conducts a free football clinic, which provides an opportunity for local youth football players to run through drills with the team and learn basic skills from Pace's coaching staff.

Each year, children from Pleasantville, Briarcliff Manor, Tarrytown, Ossining, Scarsdale and many other communities participate in the free clinic. Free food from Pace Athletics sponsors also will be available while supplies last.

Pace's 2012 football season begins Aug. 31 with an away game at Bentley University. Pace continues on the road the following Saturday as the Setters travel to Stony Brook to take on the Seawolves in a non conference game kicking off at 6 p.m.

Questions regarding tickets and the DJ Henry Youth Football Clinic can be directed to Zach Dayton, assistant athletic director/marketing and promotions, at 914-773-3271 or zdayton@pace.edu.
