WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Three facilities in Westchester County will host tennis festivals in March as a part of a nationwide initiative.

Solaris Sports Club in Yorktown Heights will host a 10 and Under Tennis Round Up on March 16 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Solaris Sport and Racquet Club in Hawthorne will host a 10 and Under Festival on March 17 from 1 to 2 p.m.

And the Ossining Community Tennis Association will host an Ossining Recreation Junior Start Up on March 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Joseph Caputo Community Center.

More than 1,000 facilities throughout the country will host similar Tennis Festivals as a way to encourage youths and their parents to get involved in the sport.

The three Westchester festivals will come on the heels of Tennis Night in America on March 4 at Madison Square Garden. That event will feature the BNP Paribas Showdown, which will pit 2012 U.S. Open Champion and Olympic gold medalist Serena Williams against the No. 1 ranked player in the world, Victoria Azarenka. Former world No. 1 men’s player Rafael Nadal will take on former U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro.
