On Thursday, Nov. 13, the Valhalla administration, as well as Coon's parents and friends met in the Valhalla Middle/High School auditorium for her letter signing. Together, they smiled and applauded her accomplishments throughout the year.
Varsity softball coach John Hayes was on hand to congratulate her, while high school Principal Jon Thomas, middle/high school Assistant Principal Kevin McLeod and Schools Superintendent Brenda Myers cheered for Coon and smiled in support.
"Brandi has been an excellent ambassador for Valhalla," said Athletic Director Jamie Block.
"VHS' loss is Marist's gain," Thomas wrote on Twitter. "Congrats to Brandi for signing to study and play at Marist. Go, Foxes!"
Coon will graduate from Valhalla High School in June and will begin attending Marist College next fall.
