Valhalla Vikings Blank Lincoln Hall For Second Win

VALHALLA, N.Y. – Valhalla High School earned its second victory of the season and the second win for first-year coach Kevin Martins Saturday, shutting out Lincoln Hall (Somers) 30-0 at Valhalla High School.

Vikings (1-5) quarterback Terrance Tribble threw touchdown passes to James Best and Tyquan Raines as the offense got going again after struggling in a 46-0 loss to Haldane last week. Raines also ran an interception back 55 yards for another score.

Valhalla, which had been shut out in three of its four losses, opened an 18-0 halftime lead and scored 12 points in the fourth quarter.

Mike Linane scored on a 55-yard touchdown run and Paul Viviano ran on in from 44 yards out for the Vikings, who travel to Blind Brook next Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for the regular-season finale.
