Westlake Wildcat Ryan Duffy Reaches Wrestling Milestone

THORNWOOD, N.Y. -- Westlake High School wrestler Ryan Duffy was congratulated recently on his third-place finish in the sectionals.

Ryan, a senior, participated in his weight class of 152 in the Section 1 Wrestling Championships on Friday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 13, at Pearl River High School in Rockland County.

The Wildcat reached a milestone at the championships and won his 100th match.

Ryan wrestled back, finished with a pin, and wrapped up his high school wrestling career with a grand total of 101 wins.

Ryan, who started wrestling as a freshman, also plays football and is hoping to play the sport once he is in college. He has been accepted at three colleges, but is still weighing his options.
