Tractor-Trailer Hits Wires, Closes Road In Greenburgh At Rush Hour

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Prospect Avenue between Fair Street and Gibson Avenue in the White Plains section of Greenburgh was closed on Tuesday afternoon due to an accident involving a tractor-trailer, police said.

Greenburgh Police Capt. Joseph Ryan said that a tractor-trailer drove into low hanging wires in front of 1 Prospect Ave. mid-afternoon.

There were no reported injuries, Ryan said.

Verizon repair crews are en route to the location, Ryan said.
