Frankie And Fanucci's Debuts Self-Serve Tap Room

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Craft beer fanatics can now tap their own brew of choice instead of waving down a server or bartender at Frankie And Fanucci's in their new high-tech tap room in Mamaroneck.

The restaurant recently launched the tap room which offers a rotating list of 30+ craft beers and wines on tap. The concept is simple. When customers arrive, they get a card with a chip in it. After the card is authorized by a staff member, they can tap it on a touch screen tablet above the brew of their choice, pour and enjoy.

When they are done tossing them back, all customers have to do is return the card for an itemized receipt. The best part is they only pay for what they pour via a pay-by-the-ounce system. The system has responsibility controls built in to help ensure guests don’t over pour and become intoxicated.

“Craft beer is booming and we wanted to take the experience to a new level. We’re using cutting-edge technology to put the customer in control and give them an incredible interactive experience. Being able to pour and pay by the ounce allows people to explore many different things and not worry about ordering a whole beer you may or may not like,” says co-owner Brad Nagy.

Nagy, and his partner Angelo Viscoso, are lifelong friends who share a passion for authentic pizza. Now, they hope their self-serve technology, along with their award-winning, wood-fired pizzas, will take a visit to their restaurant to a whole new level.
