VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Westchester County legislators have approved a $4 million restoration of the reflecting pool and cascade fountains at the base of the Kensico Dam in Valhalla, according to lohud.com.
The county Board of Legislators this week approved borrowing for the project after it was advanced by County Executive Rob Astorino as part of a $1.8 billion county budget deal for next year, the report says.
The pool has been dry since 2007, when a leak in the pool's system of plumbing became evident, according to the article.
