Happy Thanksgiving Day. Thursday, 26 November, is Thanksgiving, a national holiday.

The village’s administrative offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday’s scheduled garbage collection has been moved up to Wednesday. Friday’s pickup remains as is, he said.

Leaf collection will continue through the end of the workday Wednesday. There will be no leaf pickup from Thursday through Sunday. It will resume on Monday.

Residents should make sure there are no branches or twigs mixed in with their leaves because they tend to jam the village’s leaf vacuum.

For more information on the leaf pickup, consult the village’s recycling and organic waste rules and schedule by clicking here.

There will be no valet parking at the Scarborough Railroad Station on Thursday or Friday.
