Testing may continue for several days, he said, and effect water pressure in the villlage’s higher elevations, especially along Lodge Road, Central Drive, and Cherry Hill.
To syphon off discolored water, the village will open several fire hydrants for a short time, Zegarelli said.
In other village news, work on Con Ed’s gas main project may still cause some traffic delays, he said.
The Mulberry to Poplar section of the project in underway, and the North State (east to west) underground work could also be beginning soon, he said.
Zegarelli also provided an update on the Law Park pavilion restoration project.
The pavilion was destroyed in a fire this winter. The cause has yet to be determined.
The village is securing the deck area with fencing and rubber membranes have been laid out to protect its surface, he said.
The fireplace is to be treated with its own covering.
The Recreation Advisory Committee has set an informal public meeting for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at Village Hall to discuss the reconstruction project.
