Mount Pleasant Boarding School Gets Final Approval

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Mount Pleasant Planning Board unanimously approved a proposal to turn part of the Legion of Christ property into a private boarding school for high school students, according to theexaminernews.com.

The school, operated by EF International Academy, is scheduled to open next September with approximately 800 students on 97 acres just off of Columbus Avenue in Thornwood, theexaminernews.com reported. 

The school is intended to prepare students to attend some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the world, according to theexaminernews.com.
