Motorists are facing road closures Wednesday morning due to downed trees and wires and flooding following the severe storms that swept through the area late Tuesday afternoon and evening that have left thousands without power.

About 2,400 are without power in Northern Westchester: more than 1,600 Con Ed customers and 800-plus NYSEG customers.

The southbound Saw Mill River Parkway is closed between Route 119 and I-87 due to flooding.

There are delays due to flooding on the Bronx River Parkway near the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

In Northern Westchester, a stretch of Route 129 in Yorktown is blocked due to a fallen tree between Underhill Avenue and Route 118.

Nearby, fallen power cables have resulted in the closure of Route 100 between Route 134 and Ledgewood Commons.
