A Westchester dentist once affiliated with the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx was found dead inside a running car in the Bronx, according to the NYPD.
NYPD officials said they received a report of Dr. Jeremy Wertman, 38, of Scarsdale, sitting in a running car in a parking garage at 2690 E. 188th St. in Fordham Heights about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Police sources say Wertman had an IV tube connected to his foot with a bag filled with propofol, according to the New York Post .
Propofol is the same drug Michael Jackson used before his death. The drug can be highly addictive and its side effects include seizures and death from a loss of breathing.
The New York City Medical Examiner's Office said an official cause of death has not been determined as yet.
Wertman was a member of the Bronx County Dental Society and was formerly affiliated with Montefiore Medical Center until last year
