Man Charged With Aggravated DWI In Hawthorne Stop

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- A Bronx man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, after State Police stopped him for speeding on the Taconic State Parkway in Hawthorne on Sunday, according to police.

State Police charged Mohammed Nasim, 25, following an investigation that allegedly revealed he was intoxicated at the time of the stop, according to police.

Nasim reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent, more than twice the state's legal limit of intoxication, said police.

He was issued traffic tickets and is due in Mount Pleasant court Jan. 7, according to police.
